Entangled, a Paranormal Anthology

by Michelle Miles

I'm so excited to talk about the new anthology I'm in. It's a paranormal/Halloween anthology called Entangled. It's available as an ebook at B&N, Amazon, Smashwords and other fine online retailers. It will sell for $2.99 through October and then $3.99 thereafter.

I know most people don't like anthologies. But the thing that's unique about this one is that all the proceeds will go to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Eleven of us have banded together to support breast cancer research with our writing. Authors4theCure includes award-winning and New York Times bestselling authors, as well as two breast cancer survivors.

BCRF-funded research has helped save lives and improved the quality of care and rate of survival for tens of thousands of breast cancer patients in the past decade. Their research has revealed that the "cure" is a mosaic made up of as many approaches to diagnosing, treating, preventing and surviving as there are different types of breast cancer. The anthology is also a mosaic made up of many stories donated for this worthwhile cause.

I hope you'll pick up Entangled, not only for the fantastic stories but for helping an awesome cause.

About the anthology:

Ghosts, vampires, demons, and more! Entangled includes ten suspense-filled paranormal short stories from authors Cynthia Eden, Jennifer Estep, Edie Ramer, Lori Brighton, Michelle Diener, Misty Evans, Nancy Haddock, Liz Kreger, Dale Mayer, and Michelle Miles, plus a Seven Deadly Sins novella by Allison Brennan.

Stacia Kane contributed the foreword. Formatting and cover art were also donated to the project by Lori Devoti and Laura Morrigan.

All proceeds go to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Stories include:

GHOSTLY JUSTICE, an all-new Seven Deadly Sins novella by New York Times bestselling author Allison Brennan (author of the Seven Deadly Sins series)—Demon hunters Moira O’Donnell and Rafe Cooper are dragged into the dangerous world of nocturnal predators to find "Ghostly Justice" for a virgin sacrificed to an ancient blood demon.

HALLOWEEN FROST by USA Today bestselling author Jennifer Estep (author of the Mythos Academy, Elemental Assassin, and Bigtime series)—It's Halloween at Mythos Academy, but Gwen Frost and her friends are in for more tricks than treats when they run into a mythological monster intent on killing them.

THE FAT CAT by Edie Ramer (author of Cattitude, Galaxy Girls)—In a battle for the souls of seven women, a wizard has the god of war on his side; all the witch has is a fat, black cat.

MEDIUM RARE by Nancy Haddock (author of the Oldest City Vampire trilogy)—What’s spooking the spirits of St. Augustine? As the witching hour of Halloween approaches, ghost seer Colleen Cotton must team with a by-the-book paranormal investigator to locate the one ghost who can save the city’s specters. If she fails, her own great grandfather’s spirit may be lost forever.

SWEET DEMON by Misty Evans (author of the Witches Anonymous series)—When Chicago’s vampire king insists Kali Sweet join his empire, the vengeance demon must rely on her ex – the half-human, half-chaos demon who left her at the altar three hundred years ago – in order to escape the vamp’s clutches.

SIAN’S SOLUTION by Dale Meyer (author of the Psychic Visions series)—When a vampire discovers the human man she loves has been captured and hung in a blood farm, she goes against her own kind and risks everything to save him.

A BIT OF BITE by Cynthia Eden (author of Never Cry Wolf and Angel of Darkness)—A killer is stalking the streets of Crossroads, Mississippi, and it's up to Sheriff Ava Dushaine to stop him. But when suspicion falls on werewolf alpha Julian Kasey – Ava's ex-lover and the man who still haunts her dreams – Ava knows that she'll either have to prove his innocence...or watch the whole town go up in flames.

SINFULLY SWEET by Michelle Miles (author of One Knight Only and Phoenix Fire)—When Chloe bakes a little magic into her pastries, she attracts the attention of Edward, the sexy half-demon, half-witch, who’s come to warn her those who murdered her sister are now after her.

A NIGHT OF FOREVER by Lori Brighton (author of A Night of Secrets and To Seduce an Earl)—Who is Aidan Callaghan? Mary Ellen James is intent on uncovering the truth about the mysterious man, but as she soon finds out, some things are best left buried in the past.

FEEL THE MAGIC by Liz Kreger (author of the Part of Tomorrow series)—Jenna Carmichael’s magical attempt to rectify Jessica Manfield’s birth identity takes an unexpected turn when the past comes back to haunt her.

I think of anthologies as a bit of a smorgasbord - lol - a delicious taste of a little bit of everything!!

it's also a great way to find new favorite authors- and if it helps a great cause all better.

I remember when I was growing I only knew of one person who'd had breast cancer and sadly died.

Now, I'm amazed at the number of women I meet who have had and beaten breast cancer and I'm sure these numbers wouldn't be so positive if not for folks like you who give of yourselves to help the research!

thanks to all of you!

Hi Michelle,

Great cause. My 85 year old mom and my 80 year old mother-in-law are both breast cancer survivors, along with a couple wonderful friends. Early detection and treatment are the key.

Interesting mix here. Vampires and fighting breast cancer. Both are spooky.

Thank you.

Hi Michelle. Entangled is such a wonderful idea. I love to read anthologies. Like Chris said, it's like getting a bounty of small short stories and you get a chance to try out authors you may not have read before, and find new ones to add to your list.

I think we all know someone in our lives who is a breast cancer survivor or has a loved one who is. While we've made great strides, there's still so much more that needs to be done. And Entangled is a great way to help raise money for research.

It's also a great read!!! I bought it as soon as it was released and have already read it. Believe me, you won't be sorry when you pick this one up. It has some fantastic stories in it by some terrific authors.

Michelle,

I love anthologies because sometimes you want something to read quickly.

As a breast cancer survivor, I thank you for your contribution to breast cancer research. I will get the word out about the anthology to my survivor friends and caregivers.

Tomorrow,I will be spending several hours in court with cancer survivors and caregivers, but that's another very long story!

Bright Idea: I'll download the anthology on my ereader and take it with me to court tomorrow and show it around to the survivors and caregivers.

Thanks again for your contribution to breast cancer research.

Michelle,

I just read your original post and realized the anthology won't be release until Oct.

New Idea: I will print out your post describing the anthology and make copies to pass out to anyone interested in buying a copy in October.

What a great cause, Michelle. Even of I didn't know a lot of the authors personally, this would still be a must read for me. It's perfect for reading while in the waiting room. Not only are you entertained but you also get to be a part of a great charity drive.

Pamela - It's out now! You can get it at Amazon, B&N and other online retailers :)

Thank you so much everyone for supporting our cause. It means the world to me. And the stories are pretty kick-ass too. I just now go to the blog today because I was working and didn't have time to check it. I appreciate all the comments here!

Thanks, Kathy for posting that! I couldn't get here earlier today to answer posts.

Terrific blog, Michelle. I was thrilled to be asked to contribute a story to Entangled. I'm a fifteen year breast cancer survivor who is currently undergoing treatment ... again. I'm on my eleventh or twelth recurrence (I've lost track ) so I can attest first hand how difficult it is for women to handle this disease and am pleased to contribute to this cause in any way, shape and form.

Such an amazing effort and beautiful cause! Thank you so much for this. I just bought my copy and I'm wishing you the true success dreamed of from those who penned such words of blessing in giving hope to our sisters in fear and pain.
