Jill Griffin never dared to dream big, until a sexy rockstar taught her a little something about love…and loss.

Jill Griffin has mastered the art of being invisible, so when she falls in love with sexy rocker James Sheridan, at first she is content to live in his larger than life shadow. Building a ‘normal’ life together under the glare of the media is challenging and further complicated by constant touring, James’ partying and the mixed signals she gets from James’ twin brother Alex.

When her poems and journal ramblings become the songs on James’ best-selling album, Jill has to step out of her comfort zone and figure out how to live her life in a spotlight all her own. With no road map to follow, she struggles to navigate her way in her search for happiness.  As her professional success threatens her relationship with James, Jill questions whether she can make a living writing love songs without the love of her life.

Vicki asked me what inspired Guessing at Normal and sexy lead character James Sheridan. Could it be Dan Fogleberg's stay at the motel I worked at during college? Yes, yes it could!!

Wow, that's way cool, Gail. Did you talk with him?

I have to add I was in a music video. I told my sons they had the only mommy in school who did that. LOL

Wow! You and I could be related. Just about every answer you made would also have been my choice. Welcome, Gail. Your book sounds intriguing. Best of luck with sales.

Don't know why my daughter's name came up with my comment. But Nicole is me, Liz Lipperman!! She was messing with my laptop on vacation last week.

Hi everyone! So nice to be here. And yes Vicki, we 'shared a moment'. I've only met 3 performers, I think. Dan, of course, Charlie Daniels (I bought him cigarettes from the vending machine and delivered them to his room. He called me darlin'!?)!So Dan was the 'love interest' inspiration, but Charlie inspired the way Jill and James first meet- in a motel lobby with him needing change for smokes. I also met Boy George back in their heyday, but he was a tool and inspired nada!!

So Vicki, how cool re you in a music video!! Serious bragging rights I think!
