It's my last 2016 Plotting Princess' post.
I'm sorta at a loss what to write here. I've had one heck of a year, mostly
because Handsome had a surgery at the end of August, and in 2017, will have
another. That seems to bleed into my creative life.
Otherwise, I've been blessed.
So let me bore you with my year in review:
Two books came out. Handsome and I traveled to the Baltic Sea on a cruise. We also visited Colorado Springs, Indianapolis, and Chicago. I've lost a few pounds, gained a few back, and lost again. Renovated the garage apartment and my nephew moved in. I did Jazzercise 200 times--so far-- this year. I've read a lot of books. Turned in four needlepoint projects to be made into pillows. Embroidered five gifts for Christmas.

After over ten hours, I completed overhauled a bedroom. I bought a new vacuum and
discovered cleaning with it wasn't horrible at all (way better than the name
brand one which never worked right). I read a lot of books, some for book club,
some for me. I went to RWA in San Diego and hung out with my stalker buddy. I
hosted 27 people for Thanksgiving. I've eaten some great food and can't wait to
find the next best hamburger.
Looking back—what a year!
As for 2017, Handsome and I already know
from February to June will be encompassed with his surgery. There's no doubt
lots of reading and needlepoint will be done, as well as far too much TV
watching.
Have you looked back over the highs and
lows of 2016? What is the best one?
Writing this little gem, "The Littlest
Angel," for the Season of Promises holiday anthology was great fun. The
heroine is a follow the rules kind of gal and the hero is everything but. They
clash over a coveted Christmas ornament.

Oh my, a busy year, Vicki!
I have been blessed this year as well--a story coming out in an anthology, another of a collection of essays on Victorian England--and continued health and well-being of my immediate family!
One of my greatest blessings are all the various groups of friends--the Plotting Princesses, the The Crew of the Barque Lone Star (a Sherlockian scion), and too many others to name!
Here's to family, friends, and fun for 2107, and lots of prayers and thoughts for Handsome in his recovery.
Best,
Liese
