Bumper Stickers

Okay, yes they're a little dorky sometimes but as much time as I spend in traffic, I've always enjoyed reading bumper stickers. That 12x5 piece of paper on the back of a car tells a lot about the person whose driving.  I'm not talking about the ones that say My Fifth Grader is an Honor Student at Nosedive Elementary School. I'm talking about the ones that say My Rottweiler is Smarter Than Your Honor Roll Student. Now what kind of person is driving around with that kind of bumper sticker? I would think it would be on the back of a truck, not a car and the guy driving would be large and in charge.

Who writes these? Do they get paid? Did you know bumper stickers could be ordered online?  Here are a few I thought were interesting and clean enough that I could share.

Sorry Officer I thought You Wanted to Race
Guns Don't Kill People, My Fantasy Football Team Kills People
Carpe Donut
Hang up and Drive!
What if the Hokey Pokey really is what it's all about?   (Love this one!)
Even if the voices aren't real they have some really great ideas
Tea Parties are for little girls with imaginary friends

I have friends who would never put a bumper sticker on their car and then there are the ones with their church, their radio station, their honor roll student, their religious affiliation etc. Boring.

Maybe it's because I'm stuck in traffic and I want to read something and license plates are dull, but I enjoy funny bumper stickers. They make that long commute just a little more tolerable and I wonder about the personality of the driver. I'm sure they're someone I would consider a 'character'. So tell me what is the funniest PG rated non-political bumper sticker you've ever seen on a car?

Today, I'm giving away a free copy of My Sister's Boyfriend to the best bumper sticker!

Lead me not into temptation. I can get there all by myself.

Ha! I love that one. Very cute, Pam! I wanted to do something fun today and thought maybe this would be different. So far you're the big winner.

Hey Pam,
How is your new life as a retired person?

I dunno Sylvia. By noon, I'd been to the bank, post office, taken my mom to return a blouse, cooked lunch, eaten and cleaned the kitchen. I think I'm doing it wrong. Ha!

Sorry for the late post, Sylvia. Long day at the day job. I love to read bumper stickers while I'm out and about, but only when I'm stopped for a light. Otherwise, I'd get too distracted and not pay attention to my driving.

Pam, you're retired now, you need to slow down, not try to get everything done in one day. LOL
