One Line Blurb:

The only thing Nixy and the Silver Six crafty seniors enjoy more than making a scene—is making sense of a crime scene.

250 Word Excerpt from Paint the Town Dead:

“Nixy, child, how do we look in our new polo shirts?”
I realized the Six were lined up for inspection. We were each outfitted in white shirts with Handcraft Emporium embroidered in forest green above the left breast. Sherry, Maise, Aster, and I wore blue jeans and tennis shoes, while Dapper Dab wore his shirt with polyester pants and loafers. Elegant Eleanor, as I liked to call her, had dressed up her shirt with blue linen slacks and low-heeled pumps.
“You look fantastic. Does the shirt work for you, Fred?”
“Ain’t used to working with a collar around my neck, but it’s okay.”
Fix-It Fred was a walking hardware store in bib overalls. Tonight he wore a dark denim. The many tools he stuck into each of his dozen pockets stood soldier straight.
With that, all the seniors but Fred headed through the door into the emporium proper.
“Where are y’all going?”
“To mingle in the store,” Sherry said with a wave.
When the door closed behind the exodus, I cocked a brow at Fred. “You’re not going out front?”
“Nope, out back. I told Ida Bollings to park in the lot out there, so I’ll go keep a lookout for her.”
“You see Ida a lot?”
He winked. “What can I say? I got a weakness for dames with hot wheels.”
“Wheels as in her big blue Buick or that new walker she’s sporting?”
“Both. Besides, she’s bringing her famous pear bread.”

Big grins, Kathy! I agree! Writers are avid readers, but it's about getting the time to read when we're so busy writing! Which brings me to your books - they are wonderful!

Thanks for saying hi, and have an excellent week!

Hehehe, Nancy Haddock, I'm always learning new things about you! This is truly a super book, I'm hooked on the Silver Six, love them all, they are such wonderful characters. And of course Nixy and her detective, Eric Shoar! The tension between them is wonderfully hot. And Mz. Gilroy. I hope she stays around for awhile.

You rock this series, Nancy!

La Vida Vampire is my favorite book ever. I wrote a review on its paranormal motifs and mystery. It was a school essay on to type it in 3 hours, I did it in 2.
